For the first time since last year, my lady and me left our hood for a mini vacation in a cabin in the middle of nowhere. We hired a car, drove south for 1 ½ hours and found ourselves next to a small lake on a beautiful farm in Kent. It felt great to leave the city and very strange at the same time. I also find it hard to switch off as a self-employed person as there’s always something to do. When we arrived, we were greeted by 2 ducks that ran towards us demanding attention. That was the moment when I forgot about things to do. They didn’t leave us for the next two days and were constantly hanging around our cabin. They seemed a bit like the site security and we named them Ami & Sharon – duck agents trained by the Mossad.
It turned out that our host hatched them 6 months ago. They ordered the eggs on ebay together with an incubator. After 28 days Ami & Sharon were born. They lived in their house and eventually they moved them to a small hut in the middle of the lake where they now reside.
Simple and beautiful experience.
Also, I got my second Covid shot on the weekend. Felt a bit sick for a day but now all is fine.
On Sunday I did a songwriting session with the ladies from Ode To Lucius. We wrote a song for my 1 Mi2 project and it was glorious. Next week I’m in Folkestone to develop the ideas further with my friend and awesome musician Adam Betts.
